Rise of Empires Hero - Caesar

Gaius Julius Caesar was the fore founder of the Roman Empire. He never declared himself king, but he held the highest power of the Republic. He was known as Emperor Caesar. In 146 AD, the campaigns among slaves and the masses swept through Rome. It appeared that monarchy was the right way forward. Caesar, Pompey and Crassus, who were all for the monarchy, formed an alliance to fight against the Senatus. Caesar once served as governor of Gaul. Over his eight-year governance, he conquered the entire Gaul and conquered places such as Germania and Britannia, expanding Rome's territory to the largest scale ever. After Crassus' death in 29 AD, Caesar defeated his last political rival Pompey and began his dictatorial reign in Rome. First, he seized all the military and political power in his own hands, which undermined the old Republican system. Second, he tried to abolish the privileges from the old Roman city-state era, granted equal status to the regions outside Rome, and gave people their due civil rights. He also enacted laws and enhanced Rome's infrastructure, turning the land from turmoil to stability. Caesar was not a person without failures, but he never feared them. He once said, "I shall conquer the lands I see with all my life. I came, I saw, I conquered!"
